I’m Andrew Leitch and I’m an Experience Designer, Film and Virtual Reality Director, and Musician.
I’m currently a Director of Automotive Experience Design at SiriusXM, with a focus on content and visual design. My team designs the user experiences for numerous in-vehicle programs for Ford, GM, BMW, Mercedes, Toyota and Honda and many others.
As well as implementing the UI design for upcoming model years, I also explore future-state technologies coming to the automotive space, including augmented reality (heads-up displays), spatial audio, autonomous vehicles and the new Android Automotive Operating System.
Prior to SiriusXM I was a lab fellow at a Virtual Reality Lab run out of NYU’s Media and Games Network (MAGNET), where I directed a Cinematic VR experience, Now Then, with fellow lab participant and Academy-Award-winning producer Ryan Silbert.
I also taught a series of master classes at the New York Film Academy within their Narrative Virtual Reality program.
In the past, I’ve held Creative/UX leadership roles at digital agencies such as Razorfish, GREY/G2 and Agency.com, launching foundational experiences for blue-chip brands including Nike, Pfizer and Ford.
I’ve also consulted as an Experience Director at NBCUniversal, working with their TV Everywhere and Digital Products groups, and with ITVS, part of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
I’ve been actively involved in New York's VR and multi-platform storytelling communities, participating in StoryCode’s first Story Hackathon, and presenting at XD Immersive 2018 on the emerging language of Cinematic VR.
My web series, Elevator Moods, was an official selection at the Sundance Film Festival, a finalist at SxSW Interactive, a Webby winner (Best Broadband Site) and was ultimately acquired by A&E TV.
