I’m Andrew Leitch, and I’m an Experience Director with a focus on spatial computing and immersive experiences (VR/AR/MR/Spatial Audio).
I’m actively involved in New York's VR and immersive storytelling communities. Current projects include a narrative VR pilot, The Stitch Line and a series of experiments with generative AI video using tools such as RunwayML, Veo, Kling and Topaz.
I was also a lab fellow at a VR Lab run out of NYU’s Media and Games Network (MAGNET) where I developed a template for VR storyboarding that has become an industry standard.
Previously, I was a Director of Automotive Experience Design at SiriusXM, leading the UI design team for all of SiriusXM’s in-vehicle programs, including Ford, GM, BMW, Mercedes, Toyota and Honda. I also led research into future-state technologies coming to the automotive space, including augmented reality (heads-up displays), spatial audio, autonomous vehicles and Apple’s CarPlay and Android’s Automotive Operating System.
In the past, I’ve held Creative/UX leadership roles at digital agencies such as Razorfish, GREY/G2 and Agency.com, launching foundational experiences for blue-chip brands including Nike, Pfizer and Ford.
I taught a series of master classes at the New York Film Academy in their Narrative Virtual Reality program, participating in StoryCode’s first Story Hackathon, and presented at the XD Immersive conference on the language of Cinematic VR.
My web series, Elevator Moods, was an official selection at the Sundance Film Festival, a finalist at SxSW Interactive, a Webby winner and was ultimately acquired by A&E TV.
